Financial Planning Analyst
James began his career in financial services in 2021 when he joined Prosperity Financial, shortly after graduating from the University of Glasgow. He initially enrolled to study Physics and Astrophysics before switching to Mathematics and Statistics, ultimately graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Statistics.
He joined Prosperity as an Administrator with the ambition of becoming a qualified Financial Adviser. He is currently working towards the Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning with the Chartered Insurance Institute. Following his appointment, James progressed quickly into the paraplanning team, where he has now gained several years of experience. Upon completing his Diploma, he plans to continue his professional development with the long-term aim of achieving Chartered Wealth Manager status.
As a Financial Planning Analyst, James plays a key role in producing detailed technical reports and researching the wider market to identify suitable solutions tailored to each client’s individual circumstances. He also undertakes in-depth research and analysis to support and evidence our recommendations.
Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with family and friends and places great importance on keeping active. He has a keen interest in problem-solving and analytical thinking, which naturally extends from his academic background into both his professional and personal interests.
