Bill McCracken – Managing Director
Bill’s previous experience was over 20 years of working with Scottish Legal Life, responsible for Sales and Marketing. He set up his own Financial Services business in 1995, M.R. Selective Financial Services, which has evolved to become Prosperity Financial Solutions Ltd.
In 2000, he set up the first compliance service consultancy in Scotland, namely Compliance First. The company was developed until 2007 and successfully sold to the Simply Business Compliance Company.
Bill’s main role is to develop customer relationships, to maintain and grow a successful business.
Maria Saunders – Independent Financial Adviser
Maria’s working life began in 1981 when she joined the Save and Prosper Group as a Life and Pensions Administrator. In 1986, she joined a Glasgow Firm of Independent Financial Advisers as a Personal Assistant to the Managing Director and, in 1990, joined a firm of Chartered Accountants as an Independent Financial Adviser and ultimately became a Director.
In 2006, Maria set up her own practice which merged with Prosperity Financial Solutions in 2009. Over the last few years, Maria has lectured University Students, studying for their degree in financial planning.
Maria is authorised to advise on Investment & Pensions, Insurance, Mortgages and Equity Release.
Owen Hadden – Chartered Financial Planner
Owen is our pension transfer specialist here at Prosperity Financial Solutions Ltd and holds the QCF Level 6 Chartered Financial Planner Status. He has been in the industry for 16 years and gained valuable experience working for Zurich, Prudential and as a Retirement Consultant for LV=.
Owen is authorised to advise on Pension Transfers, Investment & Pensions and Insurance.
Andrew McLellan – Mortgage Adviser
Andrew’s career in financial services began in 1995 after leaving University. He has specialised in providing mortgage advice since 2001 and has a depth of experience in all forms of mortgage lending.
Andrew is authorised to advise on Insurance, Mortgages and Equity Release.
George Robb – Business Development Manager
George has enjoyed an extensive career in financial services much of which was spent with Scottish Legal Life as a Financial Adviser. He has been with our firm since its original establishment in 1995. His maturity and broad knowledge, coupled with experience, enhances the service he provides to our clients.
George assists the business to develop new and existing customer relationships with his area of expertise comprising protection, critical illness and income protection.
Colin Syme – Business Development Consultant
Colin has been in the insurance industry since 1976 and an independent adviser from 1993. His specialist role in the company is business and family protection, critical illness and income protection. Colin supports the business in developing new and existing customer relationships to enable future growth.
Tom Fleming – Business Development Consultant
Tom has many years of experience as an Independent Financial Adviser. He decided to merge his business with Prosperity Financial in 2012 in order that his clients would benefit from access to a wider pool of specialists and resources. Tom focuses upon business and family protection, critical illness, income protection and supports the business in developing new and maintaining existing customer relationships.
Lorna Beattie – Financial Planning Analyst
Lorna supports our advisory team by undertaking rigorous research and analysis in relation to our investment and pension recommendations. Lorna holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and is responsible for writing technical reports. Lorna obtained a Distinction grade in her J03 CII exam.
Laura Harrison – Compliance Officer
Laura is responsible for gathering regulatory reporting information and submitting it to the regulatory body, the Financial Conduct Authority via GABRIEL and CONNECT. Laura ensures that the firm has adopted a risk based approach to compliance monitoring and reviewing the firms systems and controls. She also reviews any complaints against the firm and deals with them in accordance with the FCA complaints handling rules. Laura manages financial promotions and monitors our social media pages and website to ensure that all information is compliant. She is responsible for completing an annual compliance report for senior management.
Angela Burke – New Business and Mortgage Administrator
Angela has been in the financial services industry for 21 years. She provides new business and administrative support, largely in relation to our mortgage and lending transactions ensuring that we regularly review customer needs and current mortgage products.
Neil Dawson – New Business Administrator
Neil has a B.A Economics degree and his role is to ensure the smooth processing of new business applications and transactions, providing regular management reports as to the status of applications and changes to existing products.
