Neil hails from the industrious historic town of Paisley, he attended Castle head high school from 1986-92 where he gained an impressive 7 Highers including subjects such as English, Maths and Physics. After a brief spell at Reid Kerr College where he studied a year in Music Neil decided it was time to flex his maths qualifications and enrolled in an Economic course at Paisley University where he studied for 3 years and gained a BA Economics degree.
Post education, Neil started working in the retail sector for 5 years in places such as HMV and various Music shops around the Glasgow area. Various jobs followed on from this, these included financial based roles in the manufacturing sector and working for the Department of Work & Pensions.
It was soon after his stint in the public sector that Neil was lucky enough to be offered his current position within Prosperity Financial Solutions. Working his way up from an administrative role Neil is now responsible to ensure the smooth processing of new business applications and transactions, providing regular management reports as to the status of applications and changes to existing products. Neil hopes to expand his knowledge of the industry where he can and looks to gain further qualifications in the near future.
Neil enjoys writing and performing in local bands, he has been playing guitar since he left school and it’s a past time that helps him relax and flex his creative side. He also enjoys reading and watching movies, mainly the sci-fi and action genre.
